I’ve been an entrepreneur for a lot of years now. And one thing I’ve learned is that it’s easy to let your time get sucked away, or even miss out on opportunities completely, because you aren’t prepared—especially when it comes to marketing or PR.
So today I wanted to share a short list of things you should put together ASAP and have prepared on hand so you can get more marketing done with less effort.
- Long (up to 250 words) and short bios (75-100 words)
- A headshot in high and low resolution versions
- A short blurb promoting your business and/or free offer (50 words or less)
- Your logo in high and low resolution versions in both black and white and color
- A price sheet and standard email response verbiage you can edit to suit when prospects contact you
- If you do any speaking, create a short speaker’s intro, a one to two paragraph description of your talk with 3-5 bullets detailing what people will learn, and a list of questions interviewers can ask
- Want more PR? Sign up for PitchRate.com or Helpareporter.com to get queries from reporters daily. Then create a standard response you can copy, paste and customize as needed. Save the variations you create over time in a doc on your computer too for later use.
